Hon. Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, a honourable member of the 10th National Assembly at the House of Representatives, is a dedicated Nigerian politician and civil rights activist. Representing the Oshodi-Isolo II Federal Constituency in Lagos under the Labour Party, he is committed to improving the lives of his constituents through advocacy for education, empowerment, employment, and access to clean water.
Before entering politics, Onuakalusi pursued a successful academic career, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and Literary Studies and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He further honed his legal skills at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
Prior to his political career, Onuakalusi was a prominent civil rights activist and legal practitioner. He served as the Chairman of the Christian Lawyer Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON) in Lagos State and was a member of Advocate Africa.
